Event overview

Entry is strictly limited to 240 riders - once we have filled all spots entry will be closed. We are unable to reserve or hold spots.

Entry costs $205NZD + $5 credit card fee ($210NZD total) per competitor. The entry fee covers:

  • One & a half days of practice with an uplift to start each day

  • One & a half days of racing (five stages total) with an uplift to start each day

  • Uplifts total more than 3000 vertical metres

  • Limited edition custom Aorere Enduro cap

  • Limited editon custom Aorere Enduro bottle by Camelbak

  • EWS prize pool of $8000 NZD

  • Chance to win heaps of quality spot prizes from our sponsors.

  • You can purchase a limited edition custom event race jersey (male and female styles) when you enter, which will be given to you when you arrive in Nelson.

As a round of the EWS Continental Enduro Series the Aorere Enduro will be run under EWS event rules.

To be eligible to collect EWS Global Ranking Points, you will need to have EWS membership. Points will not be assigned retrospectively if you purchase the membership after the race. You can purchase /renew your membership here.

Minimum age is 17 years old as at 31 December 2019 for EWS Continental racers (we have a 15-17yr category for male and female that will race all stages but not be eligible for EWS Continental Series points).

Categories are:

  • Men Under 21

  • Women Under 21

  • Men 21-39 years

  • Women 21-34

  • Master Men 40+

  • Master Women 35+

  • Junior Women (15-17)*

  • Junior Men (15-17)*

    *Juniors will not be eligible for series points or prize money.

    All categories are based on rider age on the 31 December 2019.

Course details will be released on 21 October 2019. You will be given the opportunity to ride all stages in the practice days on 26 and 27 October 2019. There will be five timed stages in total. We will post more information about 'possible' stages as we get closer to the event so you can see what to expect (if you haven't ridden in Nelson, NZ before you are in for a treat!).

Withdrawal Policy:
If you need to withdraw you are able to receive a 50% refund up to 15 September 2019. After this time no refunds will be given.

Transfer of Entry:
You are able to transfer your entry to another participant up until 14 October 2019. Please email info@nelsonmtb.club to arrange this. There is a $20 transfer fee. 

Event Cancellation:
The race will run rain or shine and the tracks can be altered in the unlikely event of extreme weather. In the incredibly unlikely event of having to cancel the race, no refund will be provided.

Last Day to Enter

Entries will close when all places are sold, or on Monday 14 October at 7.00pm. If the event is full there will be a waiting list, those on the waiting list will be contacted before this date.
